Hopefully some good news from express

They sent a cheque for £3800 to the finance company - which I thought was bad, however upon talking to the claims supervisor the other day, i've managed to convince them to look into buying me a new bike, transfering the finance over and keeping my current insurance (as if they had just repaired my bike)

This was thanks to alpha on the london road giving good advice repeatedly.

Hopefully they will come back to me in a few days with a new bike :D (probably more like a month)

Hope to see you all soon :D

Lol Yes i've heard bad things about alpha too. They have been quite helpful although not my only source of info obviously - they clearly just want to sell another bike :p

Hmmmm, yeah, their advice usually consists of
"Kneel before me, lick my boots clean, and I MIGHT just let you buy this bike off me.....
.... If I feel like it....."

You speaking from experience or something you read about in a paperback in your livingroom?;)

My experience with 'them' was that I had no problem buying a bike - they were very much "oh, yes, sir", "no sir", "of course, that's no problem, sir" - however, once they had my money & I had the bike they didn't want to know me - a few odd questions that I had etc, they just couldn't be bothered to give me even 2 minutes of their time.

I swore then that I'd *NEVER* buy so much as a washer from them in the future.
