Bar Vibration

Hi guys and gals,

I've just got a K5 650S (had the 2000 curvy unfaired before) and I've noticed that the bars vibrate that much that eventually my hands go numb after about 20miles of riding!
Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas how to solve it?

Thanks

I don't seem to suffer from this problem on my K4 although it is quite 'vibey'.

In a review of the SV650S by Bike magazine some years ago (may have been a K3) they said that the bar vibration on their test machine crippled the SV and really brought it down in their results. They speculated that it may have just been their test sample and suggested that changing the bar ends may have made a difference as it might have changed the resonant frequency.

Something like that anyway, my memory isn't what it used to be.

Try some heavier barends or gel grips. I noticed a significant difference in the feel of the vibration on mine when fitting hot grips

I have hot grips installed and heavy bar ends and this made a world of difference :D
