Any advice on misfire?

Good morning. I was hoping someone had some experience like mine, I just checked the other threads, and didn't see any issues like mine.

I have a k3 650, naked, no mods at all (except for a sport screen). I have 16,000 miles on it, and it has never given me a spot of trouble...until the other day.

It will start up fine, as if there is nothing wrong. It will drive perfectly, until I decide to open 'er up a little, and then it will start bucking hard, about 2 times, and then it will continue accelerating as before, however a little weaker. The bucking feels as though the engine is not firing (complete loss of power, not just a little). It will do it any time i have about 3/4 or more throttle.

Then when I pull in the clutch (to coast, or stop), the bike will stall. However, it will fire right back up again upon ignition, but if i can get it to idle, it will only idle about 1k, instead of it's normal 1.4. The exhaust smells rich too, as if only some of the fuel is being burned. I can keep it running by revving the engine.

If i don't ever open 'er up a little, the bike will ride just fine, as if there is nothing wrong.

All this will happen if the bike is hot or cold, oh, and it won't do it if there is no load on the engine (I can't just rev it and make it do it).

I just replaced the plugs to see if it would solve it, i bought NGK cr8eix for replacements, to no effect.

Thanks All!

Also, i just put new gas in, and when i pulled the plugs, they didn't have any odd coloration or other damage.

I just got what I believe to be a resolution to this issue. My shop was on the phone with Suz for a couple of weeks. Suzuki sent them a program to download on their laptop, and used that to copy everything the computer saw or did. Turns out the TPS is bad. Only took 5 weeks, and 800 bucks to figure out!

Hope this helps....
