First trackday - Oulton Park
 

Went to Oulton Park today for my first trackday. Excellent weather - tipping it down all morning, and not exactly warm although it did dry up a lot later. Had a big moment on my second lap (well, it felt big to me) and calmed down a little after that.

Was it the full circuit?

I take it you stayed upright during your visit to the grass! :shock:

Great pics. If that's just before Dear Leap I had a near off there too. In fact I have the same photo!! It was on my second trackday in March 2007. Fortunately it was a really sunny. I did one at Donington this year in the rain. A lot slower but a lot of fun I thought. You learn a lot once you get over the nerves of losing the front end!

Yeah, it's just before Deer Leap - had a moment coming out of the second part of Druids and tank-slapped my way down the first part of Warwick straight, then just bottled it turning into Lodge and ran wide onto the grass-crete stuff they have on the exit.

Druids was a popular accident venue all day, and they've just resurfaced Hizzys which was nice of them.....

Something wrong with your rear tyre here, it seems to have really deformed! Explains why you ran off though, good effort for keeping it upright :king:

I've done that at Lodge too, right in front of my mate Danny just seconds after I passed him. it's damn handy that they have the grass-crete stuff there or I'd have been on my backside.
