Ducati - Discussion...

I could just about hear what Stoner was saying on the tannoy yesterday, "what do I have to do to make people like me" etc, in my opinion, he has to do fack all! On various occasions yesterday through the Craner Curves into the Old hairpin, Melandri would be seeming to be on the limiter into the turn before the hairpin, yet Stoner have a few more revvs to play with. Now that could just say to people he has the wrong set-up, to me it says he is not finding a set-up that he feels comfortable with.

I think the Ducati must be a very hard bike to ride, yet Stoner is doing something right to be able to actually ride the thing and get his World Championship. Yesterday he was pretty much faultless AFAIK. I mean you look at him on his Cecchinello(sp) ride, he wasn't the best but he wasn't the worst, yet, last season he was awesome on the thing, yeah it may have stuff to do with the traction control, so what, they all have it! This season he has been having problems

Another thing that leads me to believe that it is rider clicking with the bike is look at its past riders, Bayliss + Gibernau and now Melandri...Bayliss was never able to run at the top but TBH that was because they were in the developing stages with the bike (not to mention the bloke came back year before last and one the last race), but then we have Gibernau, moved from Honda to Ducati, injuries stumped him for a while but before and after, he was never convincing, the years before, winning races and making a nuisance of himself and to the championship. Melandri, another who was winning races but now is struggling to find his feet with the Duke.

Although I am a Rossi and a JT fan. To Stoner I say :notworthy::notworthy:

So is it the riders or the bike? Or is it both?

Stop whining like a b1tch when things don't go his way. He is a fantastic rider, always miles ahead of every other Ducati on the grid but he does spit his dummy out if anything goes wrong.

Yeah I was at craners myself, everytime stoner went under the cinzano bridge it sounded like he was whacking the throttle even further open, whereas meandri just seemed to be flat out with no change in engine note at all, word is he wont be there next year anyway. Btw plowsie I was at craners next to the big screen, I texted you mate, thought you musnt have come, I brought your bungees with me :D Ill stick em in the post for you.

Wouldn't you if you were defending a championship? I know I would be. Apparently he was saying that people that got on track at the end were giving him not so nice hand gestures and booing, really bad taste IMO.

The track invaders hadn't even let the last riders out get round the track before they were out there.

No worries mate, feel a bit sorry for melandri though, stoner makes it look so easy, btw did anyone see his sideways glance to melandri in qualifiers on sat ? he pulled alongside, looked at him, then kinda rode away shaking his head what a :toss:

Its happening a lot this year mate, the quicker riders are getting caught out. I think soon enough, a system like F1 could be used, it is very successful IMO. I can see why he would be wound up though mate.

That was cos Melandri was coasting on the racing line though :smt075 which is pretty stupid of Melandri in the first place, but Stoner reacts to things like that more than most.
