Tents...Again :)

I need some help people. Done a search but only came out looking even more confused......wouldn't know my ground sheet from a Hydro Head ;) . Looking at three man tents as the two man tent(Billys) I used last could have done with being a wee bit bigger.

Most seems to be 1500HH but the ones in the list below appear to be 2000 HH......that make a lot of difference?

I'm looking to get something that is more than 'throw away' even if it doesn't get used again hehe. I believe a double skinned tent is also preferable ?

Anyhoos, I'd be much obliged to have recommendations from the list below.

Budget is £70 but the cheaper, the better eh..... :D

I have a Vango Delta 300+ as my spare tent - Jambo borrowed it last year for the AR.

The Sigma is the update of that - the 300+ is PLENTY big enough for 2 people never mind just one.

I would suggest the 200+ would be fine for 1 person.

BTW the difference between the + and non-+ versions are that the + have a porch at both ends - so more storage

just bought a DART from Millets for 40 squids. I had a four man last yr but its too big for this yr. So, this 3 man is like a large 2 man really. you can stand up in it, and it took me 20 mins to put it up and take it down9thats altogether not each). Its 3.5 kilos..half the weight of my other, and its small for the back of the bike. Its 2000 hydro head..whatever that is, but if its as reliable as my other millets eurohike one, then I'll be dry...not that its goonna rain or owt;-)

it has similar dimensions to your first and 3rd choice

Just bought a 3 berth (more like a larger 2 berth) from Millets also. £60 reduced to £30. 3.5kg and the poles are quite small so i'm packing the inner and outer in my tailpack and the poles in the bag with my folding chair.

HH Rating

http://www.outdoorgear.co.uk/infopoi...ydrostatic.htm

Basically as the link says, 1500 is reasonably ok, 2000 is ok for europe generaly.

As an aside, Gore-Tex varies between 28,000 and 45,000 HH rating......
