Why does life suck?!
 

My mum has had a lump on her big toe for about a year now, everyone thought it was a corn! However after seeing one doctor about a week and a half ago he decided that they best do a biopsy, results today and guess what its F**CKING CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!:smt093

A year, a year she has had this thing and nobody thought to think anything about it and wonder why it wasn't going with the stuff they gave her for the corn?! :smt102

I love my mum to bits and while i moan about her we have got so close since i have kind of grown up. Last monday she had to have her eye lids operated on due to the muslces failing, I'm just wondering what next!! What is going to happen to my mum now?!

Sorry to lay this on the org, Drew is great to cry on but i just wanted to write what i was thinking and didn't know were else to do it?! :smt022

yep life sucks big time, then it throws mud at you when you think things are going better......big hug for you.
I can understand what you feel right now. I've been watching my dad suffer with retro piritoneal fibrosis for about 8 years(its on par with cancer). He was given 6 months to live 8 years ago, and after many operations to stop it, hes had a naff painful life..but hes still here.

In a funny way Lil, it can only bring you and your family closer, even though its tough. We as a family have some real close good times, as we know that round the corner Dad will one day be gone.

at least your mum has a daughter like you who will be there for her and you have your other half and don't forget that you both have the org for those times when you need a distraction

i know how you feel, exactly how you feel really, wednesday last week my mum got the results of a biopsy to find she has breast cancer, that was less than a week ago and she's in for surgery next monday. without going into massive detail we're lucky it was caught early and is contained, but it still knocks you for six.

hope things work out for your mum...

life has good times as well as bad times you have to try to focus on the good things , i can get hard at times i had to care for my step father for 4 years after he suffered liver and kidney failure , at the time i was working 50 hours a week and had just become a dad so i focused on my son , all i can say is take it one day at a time and i wish you all the best to you and you mum:grouphug::grouphug::smt058

Really sorry to hear this Lily.................but Mum's are tough you know, especially when they have love and support. I'm sure your Mum is getting loads of both.:)
