Preparing for my Bike Trip

2 weeks to go before me and 9 others from my station are off for a week around the UK.

This'll be my first big trip on the bike and I am trying to preare as best possible.

My K4 has only done 5k miles so I am gonna change the oil and filter only before going. As the last service was done last March 2007 at 4k. I will take some spair plugs just in case.

My rear shock is on the hardest setting for my fat ****, tail pack and panniers.

What else do I need to remember to take, do, check before going????

Do I need to take my insurance docs, Mot Cert and License?

i dont see why you would need your docs as you are in the uk police officer etc can get the details from you plate, bike wise just take a litre of oil with you, a small can of chain lube unless you have a scottoiler a roadside puncture kit of some sort either wedges or the type you spray into your tyre this is a temp repair until you can get it sorted properly, tyre pressure gauge apart from that maybe a couple of bulbs, anything else you can buy without to many problems on route so wouldnt worry. Cant think of anything else bike related the svs a reliable bike so you shouldnt have any problems with the bike, luckypants ans speedy claire have just come back from 3000miles around europe claire was on a pointy sv and had no probs just used abit of oil.

Have a good trip.
