Integrated Taillight

Hi,

I found a website that offers integrated taillights. Im very interested in buying this because it would make the back end of my 650 look even better. Those small indicator lights are far from ugly but it's even better if there integrated in the tail light.

I have only one concern : Is this street legal? Are there any guide lines in the mounting of signal lights? (For instance the amount of space between the left and right signal?). Are there different guide lines for each country? (Im from belgium)

Is there anybody who knows the Do's and Dont's about this subject?

Thanx,

Wout

Talking from the perspective of UK law...

No, they are not street legal, because of the regulations around lighting of vehicles (Construction & Use), which specify that indicators are not allowed to be within a certain distance from each other.

As for the laws of your country...

I've been behind bikes (in the cage) with integrated tail lights/indicators and found it very hard to see the indicators flashing - it looked more like the tail light was pulsing than an indicator flashing. Dunno if it would be even less distinctive if you were braking at the same time.
