On the blag again... For a digital recorder or camcorder
 

OK, so, Northwind organisation strikes. My new bullet camera is on its way, and should arrive on wednesday. My JXD recorder is also on its way, but it's coming from a big box-shifter in Hong Kong and might be here in time, or alternatively might still be in hong kong, they have no idea. So, that'll be quite annoying if it doesn't arrive, I'd like to video the AR.

So... Does anyone out there in SV-land have a digital recording device like an Archos or JXD, or a camcorder with an AV-IN that they'll not be using this weekend, that I can have a loan of? I'll pay for all postage of course and look after the kit better than if it was my own... I've got waterproof gear bags etc to protect it all from the elements. I know it's a big ask but I'm not going to run off with it :D The videos from last year were pretty popular, so it'd be nice to do it again and get better vids.

Any help would be much appreciated...

I'm pretty sure I've got an old Camcorder with AV-In, that I could bring down to the AR on Friday if that's any good. I need to check that it still works and that the battery holds a charge, but if you want to borrow it I'll look tonight.

Aye, that'll be absolutely brilliant... With any luck my JXD will be here in time but... maybe not. So that sounds like a perfect backup- thanks very much!

Dogcam were very good though, their fast postage is only a quid more than regular, and though they quote a 3-day dispatch time I phoned them and said "Can it be faster" and they put it in the post this afternoon.

Cor, if you've got a JXD unit you're not using that'd be absolutely ideal, since everything else I have is chosen around one of those... Definately easier to wire up than a camcorder. Whcih one is it?

YC, if you can bring that you're a legend, my camera's at the local sorting office so I'll pick that up tomorrow, but still no recorder. No bloody camp stove either, and I ordered that last week :(

And thanks again Rigor- you get all the benefits of being helpful, without having to bring the camera, I owe you one :D

This planning all went to **** anyway because Dogcam left a bit out of the camera :smt021 But thanks to everyone anyway.
