I dare you to come to Malta and ride in leathers this time of the year. We all ride in t-shirts here. Can't wear leathers from fear of overheating and dehydration. It's actually unsafe to wear leathers over here at this time. To confirm what I'm saying read this months 'Bike' magazine. You'd just have to ride safer and at a lower percentage of your overall riding abilities.

Sorry, this isn't personal - but I have to say what a load of B*LL*CKS !!

I lived in Miami back in the 80's & whilst I never owned a bike I often used to ride friends machines - ALWAYS with protective gear - yes, there is the risk of dehydration & overheating, which is why liquid intake (non-alcoholic) & regular breaks (if there's no breeze) is very important.

I looked good back then !!

But, sorry to disappoint you mate - my everyday (non-riding) gear was crew uniform from whichever boat I was sailing at the time

sorry mate, but i'm with vox on this one, i've been to some very hot places, and i dehydrate quickly, if that's a problem for you then you need to start using a camelbak, or stop more frequently and take in fluids

riding when it's so hot you start to lose concentration is as bad as doing so when it's too cold, just because you want to ride your bike doesn't mean the conditions are suitable...
