http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7493547.stm
...specifically when it starts to actually move away from the take off and go forward.... I would not want want to be the person who said "well, theres no reason why it shouldn't work, or fall off, yeah, lets do it" |

Re: How unsafe does this look?
awesome!
love helicopters and would bite someones arm off for a chance to fly one! |
Re: How unsafe does this look?
Standard way to move a downed helo when in remote areas. The Sea King would have been lightened a bit, engines may have been removed if they had been able to get a support truck into the area and would have had no fuel so would have been more or less just a frame.
Still awesome to watch in action though :) |

Thankfully it wasnt anything like these, which I'm sure you've already seen: Manic Panic (check out the guy on the floor on the slow mo replay refitting his genitals) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3idQKi5EqM Epic fail http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoHd5...eature=related (I'm not posting these for a morbid laugh, but it does just go to show how wrong things can go, and how quickly. There were real people at risk just doing their jobs there.) |
