What's a good way to distribute big videos?

I'm just working through the AR vids and it turns out I've got the entire thing. And it's hours of video... Youtube can only deal with shorter vids, is there somewhere I can easily upload them and people can just download them? I doubt many people will want the whole several hours of rather unexciting Northwind-riding, but I know last year people wanted clips of themselves.

I'll probably pull out highlights like I did last year too, but it'd be nice to get the whole thing up. Er, minus a couple of "indiscretions" ;)

Well you can use the uploading 'storage sites' that keep things for a couple of weeks to allow people to download them.

Cheers folks, I'll investigate further

Oh yeah... the first thing I checked for was to see if I had Grinch being all heroic, but the bike was pointing off to one side  I thought I'd caught it. Gutted...

could wang it on dvd maybe? not massively difficult and if everyone sent you, say, 3 quid via paypal, it would cover the cost of disc & postage :)

Could do... Probably about 3 gb all told. Downloading would be better though, free for most folks. If anyone really wants a DVD it can be arranged, ie they can't download it and just can't get enough of me riding fairly slowly, or people's bottoms.

Fraid not mate, I thought I should have it all but the bike was too square on the junction. I was too busy watching to set it up right  Gutted about that...

3GB is a big file, but you can do it via rapidshare or megaupload - just use a program called winrar or another caller hjsplit to split the file into chunks, each whatever the max upload limit is, people will then need to download all the chunks and use winrar or hjsplit to reassemble the file afterwards

how can you have 3GB of video? is it uncompressed? use DivX or similar to compress the video before sending and it'll cut the size by a huge amount
