sv650/1000 exhaust
Hi All
I am looking to get a new exhaust for the 650s k5, is it possable to fit a compleate system from the 1000 or is the twin exhaust a no no on the 650 like the twin pipes from the rear ?? |
Re: sv650/1000 exhaust
1000 exhaust wont fit, bikes might look the same but they are very different underneath.
Theres a few companies that make a twin exhaust for the 650 have a browse around the exhaust section towards the bottom of the forum. |
Re: sv650/1000 exhaust
Nope SV1000 exhaust won't fit, and a twin pipe set up is for aesthetics only on the SV650!

Re: sv650/1000 exhaust
The TL series engine's cylinder offset is the other way round from the SV, so the systems aren't at all compatible except for end-cans being bodgeable.
Twin cans are only there to make it more expensive to fix if you bin it on the left |
Re: sv650/1000 exhaust
At the AR I saw a curvy with a twin set up, but up the side. It caught my eye, as you don't usually see that.
Besides, twin exhausts ( either side) are a bugger for getting symetrical..the raptor is a pain in the ass to line up. |

Cagiva Raptor 650 has a twin pipe set up & the engine is borrowed from the SV650 ..
