Cool - good news.

I re-installed a server yesterday morning before breakfast - took 30 mins (would have taken less if I hadn't forgotten to re-enable the DHCP server on another machine 1st)

But good on ya :)

Yes, I built her and I put her in her case and i gave her lots of fans so I know thst she is cool.

I named all of my computers on my home network.

My first was called Daphne, then came Betty and now Hillary. However since then I have moved and had to plug into Carols Network, which consists of Mac (bet you can't guess what make he is?) and Moya.

You didn't name your computer? :p

All my computers have names

My Linux Workstation is Iron, the server I rebuilt yesterday is Sodium, My Routers are Hydrogen and Carbon etc.

As you can see, my naming structure is based on the Periodic table with Element types grouping to device types :)

Used to have a whole network named after synonyms for Black - in fact my mail server that is due to be retired (hence the rebuild of Sodium) is still called Ebon (should be called Lithium :D)

Cool, I knew I was not being that much of a nerd by naming them. Although I did prefer the route of nice names for old ladies. That way I can spend hours bashing away at my old lady! Yes I know it is a very poor joke...

i will get my coat! :smt023

Oh pooh... Now I made Linux not work.

Tried to open Youtub and it failed me!

Said I need to install a flash player...

Not so clever now am I? Off to do some research and find out what I need to do...

Got a confession - I name mine too!

Main PC tower is "Red Dwarf" (with red cathodes), Laptop is "Blue-Midget", entertainment center is "Starbug" (and yes, it does have green electro-flourescent wire running around), and NAS is "White Hole".

Still trying to work out what to call the firewall - was thinking Gelf...

Incidentally, all Linux boxes :-D

What distro are you using?

Google is your friend.

Alternatively, if using Ubuntu, open up Synaptic (System->Administration->Synaptic) then click on search, the type in flashplayer and select the 2 options you are given, then apply :)

using Ubuntu because I have experienced it before, but not as good as this version. I likes it lots and lots. Nearly more than sweets.
