French cameras

I've just come back from France, and whilst there I stupidly set of a rear facing camera, am I likley to recieve a nasty surprise in the post any time soon? I only ask so I'm not too gutted if I do.
Also if the fines do follow you does anybody know what severity they are?

Unless the speed is very very serious you will hear nothing from it.

I have been caught numerous times in france, including once when I went last month, you never ever hear anything.

In October 2009 a new law will be coming in however, where the whole of europe will somehow be linked with points and fines.

But until then, your fine.

But for the record if your stopped for speeding it 70euro fine, if your stopped for serious speeding 40kph over the limit, then they seize your licence and your vehicle and issue a court date which you HAVE to return for. If you dont your car is sold or crushed and you face prison the minute you step back into france.
