computer question
afternoon all ;)
iv just installed photoshop 6 on my lappy but cant seem to get the programme to run. there is no desktop icon to click on and when i go into the folder where its installed all i can see are loads of icons but no idea which one to click on to get it running. any help would be appreciated :) matt |
Re: computer question
anything in the Programs menu, ie from the Start button ?
or you could change the display settings in 'My Computer' so that it shows details rather than icons. Anything ending in .exe or .bat is worth a double-click |

Re: computer question
Ok, to stop messing about.
Photoshop is a HIDEOUSLY complex piece of software. It IS however VERY good at doing what it does. However, unless you are doing it for a living, I find it VERY difficult to justify the time, or the money, and ?500 is a lot, to learn it. If you are just wanting a GFX/Pain proggy, can I suggest The GIMP I find that 99% of what I want to do can be done in that, and its FREE. |
Re: computer question
i had it given to me, no manual tho. wouldnt pay the money for the programme because i cant get a mortgage
iv loked at gimp before but if i remember rightly you have to download bits n bobs aswell as gimp |
Re: computer question
Nope, theres a windows installer to take care of getting you all GIMPy
http://gimp.org/windows/ Only addition you may need to download is the manual |
Re: computer question
I taught myself photoshop, and I am still learning, and I know about 2% of it's features! It is such a great program, but will take ages to learn unless you have a mate to show you some essentials.
