Sunny day and leaking fork...

Lovely day innit... Well I was having a nice ride on the way to Hawes when I noticed that my Sv was nose diving a bit on the brakes and the bars were flapping side to side more than usual. I stop and their was oil all down the fork leg... :(
Something must have gone wrong with the dust cover because there are vertical scores on the chrome...
Can I polish these out when I fit new seals?

it's the last thing I need as I need to put it through it's test shortly...

Where can I buy seals? Online? :smt100

If the chrome is scored you may well be out of luck as it will probably tear up the new seals in fairly short order. By all means try to polish it out but I wouldn't be holding out too much hope. Might well last long enough to get through the MOT though :)

www.wemoto.com sell fork seals IIRC

Yeah the scores will munch new seals, not sure what's the best thing to polish them with though.
