Llangollen bike show August 2nd and 3rd
 

Anyone going? Just saw signs for it as I rode through.
First year it's been done apparently, not sure how big it's gonna be but you have to start somewhere eh?

Just been to Mrs UKIs nans near Llangollen. There's summat in local paper (Llangollen Bugle probably :smt102) about this. She was saying it was old bikes, but could be wrong.

I understand that it will be mainly "Classics", might be a nice afternoon out.

Yeah the classics bit makes sense, there is no clear information about it, the website keeps alluding to more details closer to the time (how much closer do you want it :)) I suspect it has got forgotten about while organising the actual event.
the FMX stunts and trials display sounded entertaining and the trade stands might be a nice diversion to break up the wait till the NEC show.

So who went?

Me and Claire went on Saturday, didn't see anyone from here though. I thought it was not a bad show for their first effort and I hope they get to run it regularly from now on. Like many shows was full of old and custom bikes in the display tent, not my thing so only of minor interest. A few more trade stands would help, but obviously they need a track record of attendance to attract major displays. I thought the stunts and trials riding in the arena were brilliant, especially the youngsters.

and hi to whoever was there on a yellow curvy with Rentec rack, probably with a pillion as the rear pegs were folded down.

I went Sunday, plenty of people about too. More trade stands as mike pointed out would have been better, but you have to start somewhere i suppose. No .org bikes in the bottom bike/ car park though :(
