SV1000 Exhaust Question
Probably a stupid question, but I've just bought some Quill cans off Ebay for the thou and looking at them in the picture they don't have the 4 bolts on the end that fix to the pipework on the bike. I've whipped the stock ones off and the 4 bolts on them are fixed in place so can't use them. If the Quills don't have the bolts will any bolts from B&Q or similar (which are of a decent quality and same size) do the job or will I need some specific bike ones?

Re: SV1000 Exhaust Question
this happen'd to me, i know what u mean they are backward to the OE cans, i used some normal bolts 8mm i think they were, any threaded bolt will do just buy ones that look nice.

Cheers mate, will sort some out tomorrow before I pick the cans up. Suppose a few quid for some bolts ain't too bad when the cans only cost £67! Can't wait to hear them :smt077 |

Re: SV1000 Exhaust Question
Any old bolt will do, best go for Stainless Steel if you have the option, don't forget the copper grease.

Re: SV1000 Exhaust Question
Problem solved. Picked the cans up tonight and they came in their original boxes with the bolts included. Had a nice surprise too, cos the guy hadn't specified if they were stainless steel etc and they turned out to be titanium. Got them on the thou now (not started her up yet though) and they look cool as! Well pleased for ?68, in fact I felt guilty handing over so little cos the guys mate advertised them for him and had his description been half decent he could of made well more dosh. Hey ho, my gain and all that :smt077
