Help, Ive got 11 wks and five days to learn the guitar
 

As the title say,s, a mate of mine left the uk two years ago and made me promise to be able to play the guitar well enough that by the next time we meet we could jam together, well in 11 wks and 5 days Im off to visit him and want to able to do something. Ive got a crafter electro acoustic and a marlin slammer strat copy, I can play a few chords etc just need something to give me a bit of motivation rather than the boring stuff in the instruction books, you know something a bit more fun, so if you have any tips, tricks, licks etc...please help

How about viewing some instructional videos. There are plenty available on Youtube and you can learn specific songs...

How about applying the seat of your pants to the seat of a chair and practising?

Ok ok, just wanted a bit of motivation and everyones shouting at me......oh I get it ;) nah just looking for something different to kickstart me again, thanks for the input though guys
