Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on PS3-Who's got it and who can help me?!!!
 

I'm going crazy. Yesterday I saved up enough money to buy and play in the Formula 1 Ferrari but it said I couldn't it transpires I need to get at least 3rd in all other classes of race. I'm stuck on the very last one of special and can't for the life of me buy a car and set it up well enough to get anywhere near 3rd.

Are there any experts out there?

I need help before I go insane.

How are you controlling the car? i.e. what button is your accelerator / brake?

I changed them to L2 and R2 so that I could have a wee bit of throttle through the corners where as when is was X and sqaure i found it either to be off or on.

In terms of setting up your car make it as light as possible. If you can brake later than every other car you will gain ground on almost every corner. I havent played the game in a while so cant remember what the last special is or what car I used but I seem to remember using the Ferrari 430 alot. That said I found the R8 to be the best handling car in the game.

dont forget to tuck in behind cars your about to over take too.. not only will you pass them quicker through their slip stream, the next car you have to over take is easier to catch up once you've completely over taken the previous person. i know that sounds a bit basic, but i'm sure its a code thing in the actual game - if you get into a cat and mouse battle the next guy just seems to disappear whereas if you completely burn the guy, the guy up ahead can be caught within the next corner or two..

ive just fired up the ps3 with gran turismo and realised why i havent played it in a while.
im rubbish at it.

I'm waiting for the full version before I purchase a PS3, how long untikl it comes out?

I'll also need a new telly...

Yeah I use R2 for accelerator and I might change the L2 for brake. I'm well into slipstreaming.

Tim I don't know when the full game comes out but this one isn't bad at all. It's a real challenge. I've been doing some reading and there are simple tunign guides out there i.e. what does what and playing on-line games on the oval tweaking things a little does make a difference. But that was on the oval. Looks like I'm gonna have to just tweak away for a few hours til I get it right.
