Concrete garage

Here goes the long shot...
Does anyone know the weight of a 16'x8' concrete sectional garage? I have sealed the deal on a second hand one but need to transport it from Norwich to Beccles (23 miles). I'm hoping to be able to hire a large trailer and tow it behind our Discovery but am unsure of the gross weight to be able to workout if I can do it.
Cheers.

Do it in stages if the trailer tyres start to bulge?

What braked weight can the Disco haul, 3.5te?

I'm almost certain it can pull 3t but I've never done it before.

Don't know if this helps, but the average density of concrete is 2300 kg/m3

I bet if you call the company that makes them, they could tell you how much it weighs.

Just take it steady then, I reckon it'll be under 3 tes probably. I've been in 4wds pulling 2te-4te of stone, low ratio may be required on steep uphills, and a lot of thinking about braking. Once off dual carriageways don't stray too much over 40 if the road bends.

PLUS ....

I've got a concrete garage and each of the panels are about 0.6 wide x 2.2 high x .05 thick (thickness is a complete guess as there is a thick bit around the edges and thin in the middle).

Given that the weight per panel would be 152kg (Make sure you take some BIG LADS with you to load the trailer:p)

Assuming there are 20 panels that gives you just over 3 tonnes plus all the bits like door, roof, trussess, etc

Good Luck and book the osteopath (sp) now :) :) :) :)
