Can you NikWax a visor?
I was riding to work in the rain and realised that the reduced visibility was due not to rain itself but droplets of water sticking to the middle of the visor. Having just NikWaxed my bike cover, boots and textiles, I was wondering if I could NikWax my visor? rain droplets even run straight off my hand when I have been nikwaxing things!
I also remember Matt was doing some work on a hydrophobic visor, wonder if he had any luck? |
Re: Can you NikWax a visor?
Yes...
its called Nikwax visor proof, and it works a treat ! you do need to work it in properly, or you end up with smudges all over your visor, its not too good when its misty outside, or drizzly, as its not enough water to bead up and roll off, that kinda sticks to your visor.. but normal rain its great at ! you'll start doing the nikwax nod with your head then ! :p |

I use AutoGlym FastGlass from the car. Does the same kinda thing.

I use the nikwax stuff too, it's ace. Though it doesn't seem to last all that long sometimes.

Rainex is pretty good too. You could easily fit a small bottle in your luggage and take it with you.......
