K3 Oil Radiator Question

Hey folks,

I want to take my oil rad off for 10 minutes or so. When I disconnect the 2 hoses oil starts to drip out as expected but Im wondering if this is just the oil already in the rad or will it come down from the engine also....?

Once I get the rad off I can turn it upside down and keep the oil in it grand but if the oil keeps coming from the rest of the bike I'll have to rethink my plan

What will happen? I dont want to lose the oil as I only changed it recently

Any advice is much appreciated, cheers!

Martin

Oh right, the manual says drain the oil, suppose because it will come out.

Bugger

Why not just clean the bottom of the engine and catch the oil in a clean container?

Im going to try reattach the bracket piece where the screw goes in to hold on the rad cover using a high temp adhesive and a lot of praying

Oh, ok.... take it the screw had snapped/rounded on yours then? If so a simple replacement stainless steel or titanium replacement should do the job, done it loads of times on customers bikes and no reported problems yet.

Oh right, mine is the little one on the bottom of the rad, the whole piece broke off. I dont want to risk welding it because its probably too thin so i hope the adhesive stuff stays put, ill wally a load of it on and sand it down then when its dry
