Why don't buell make a 600
Buell are always going on about weight saving and better handling. Why don't they make a 600 instead of the 1200's and thou's ?

Re: Why don't buell make a 600

Re: Why don't buell make a 600
Don't Buells use Harley engines? So it would be down to availability of the original engines from Harley? I guess it would be a waste to reduce the bore of such heavy lumps from 1200 to 600...

Re: Why don't buell make a 600
Yep, if Harley don't make it then Buel can't use it... simple as.

What about the 1125R?
Engine made by Rotax, if I'm right. |

Re: Why don't buell make a 600
Because after all their spiel Buells are no longer revolutionary, if they tried to play the 600 game I reckon they'd get beaten by all the SS600 competition. As it is the single big disc set up on the new trad Buells always gets a slating. It's nice there is something different out there, but with mass centralisation as common as IL4 I think they'll stay out of the SS600 arena.
As it is their bikes aren't that powerful, so are an alternative to the SS600s, they're no way a match for the current crop of thous. |
Re: Why don't buell make a 600
Very few American males would even consider a sub litre bike.
