Minitwin racer for sale

Hi Folks,
Didn't really want to do this but having been bit by the road racing bug, I see no choice :smt103:(

To fund the purchase of a 600, so we can run two classes in Ireland, one of my fine SV's will have to go:(2005 Suzuki SV650
2007 formula 350 - 750 championship winning bike (plus second in the open class)

Many race wins and has lapped Three sisters in 57.4secs. Has won every minitwin race at Wirral 100 and is always in the top four with the 400's, does 1min 15.08's on the coastal circuit at Anglesey.

Full M4 race system - best available for SV

Gilles rear sets - multi adjustable

GPR top yoke mounted steering damper

Maxton front forks - externally adjustable for rebound/compression damper - but still within minitwin rules - new one month ago - £600

Maxton GP7 rear shock - 5 way adjustable - new one month ago - £600

BMC high flow air filter

Goodridge hoses F & R - new one month ago

New Tsubaki 520 chain

Dyna-Pro Lightweight rear subframe

Dyna-Pro Lightweight clock/fairing bracket

K5 GSXR1000 bodywork - with double bubble screen

K3 Radiator (bigger than K5)

This bike is in fantastic condition and a race winner, it has helped me to the top of the championship charts in 4 classes so far this year. It will come with the following spares:

Wets on wheels

A selection of sprockets

Spare clip-ons

Brake and clutch levers

Rear set parts

Looking for £3700ono for the bike and spares.

any chance of a pic of the forks as i didnt think that you could have modified or different fork tops to be within minitwin rules

Hi Fella,

The forks look identical to standard, there is rebound adjustment at the top and compression adjustment from underneath, very trick;)

Not allowed in Minitwins I don't think.

Here are the regs from the minitwin site:

Suspension

Forks must remain as originally produced by the manufacturer for the homologated machine with the exception of the following:

- Original internal parts of the fork may be modified or replaced. After market damper kits or valves may by installed. Fork springs may be replaced.

- Fork caps may not be modified or replaced beyond the homologated standard to allow external adjustments.

- Fork stanchions must retain the original finish. No additional surface treatments are allowed.

As you can see the fork caps have to remain as standard, which they are, and it does not say you cannot add adjustment, the compression adjustment is done the same way Ducati do theirs on the 748/916/996

I have raced minitwins for a few seasons now, I know what you can and can't do.

Cheers

Paul

But you have done that, the SV does not come with external adjustable rebound and compression which means it isn't homologated with them.

I have built (and rebuilt) a few minitwins bikes in my time and not one has had this modification, the addition of preload adjusters yes but not compression and rebound.

Have you got any pictures of these external adjusters?

Nice bike by the way.
