With 17 of them to do, can you not back it up to an external hard drive? I don't know whether that'd be cheaper or not, but that's what I'd do.

Yep, that's all you need. Doesn't matter that it's music as you're only backing up (not creating audio discs).

50 DVD's should only cost a tenner or so.

I'd put it on an external hard drive as Sean C said. No idea about prices for the two though.

I'd get an external hard drive anyway, it makes for such easy back-up and the cost nowadays is pretty trivial. This is a convenient opportunity to justify the cost.

I got a Seagate from Maplins a year or 2 back, they're bigger and cheaper now. The instructions said (literally) "plug it in, go".

If you're not a big music/video junkie, something 250Gb plus will be more than adequate.

+1.

Don't faff about with discs mate. You can pick up an external drive for £25 -£30 these days. Much quicker solution.

Ebuyer, Amazon anywhere like that.

Right thanks guys, think I will go down the external hard drive route tbh, been after one for a while and it kinda makes sense.
Cheers :)
