1st diesel encounter

well i found my first bit of diesel last night. riding back from poole, nice and easy, got forced right round the outside of a roundabout by a car who obviously doesnt understand roundbouts. just as i was turning off the bike seemed to skip sideways and the bars shook, its was dark, and with changing direction/lean i guess i couldnt see it. scared the hell out of me though! guess i was lucky [-o<

It's so scary, but the fear is usually after the event and all about what could have happened. Try not to dwell on it. Glad your ok!

i was following my friend, so i had to keep going, which probably helped cos it meant i didnt stop and think about it too much.

If your pootling along, you can recover it. The bike slides and you have time to react.

If your pushing it a little for speed and you hit it, no chance, down you go.

just stick as close to the inside as possible :)
