oof, not good to hear tim.
i've travelled with them many times, always a decent enough service. 75,000 stranded according to reports. |
Re: guess who wont be going on holiday this year
Should also beable to claim it back if you paid by credit card.
Your travel insurance may also cover the cost depending on what cover it offers. Sorry to hear it though, Everyone looks forwards to their holiday.....to have them cancelled effectively without choice is terrible. |

Where were you supposed to be going Tim?

Re: guess who wont be going on holiday this year
Was going with friends (Yes I have some). I gave them the cash I don't know how they actually paid the bill. Their daughter in law is a travel agent and they booked through her to get her discounts etc.
Trouble is she is in Florida at present. So I guess we should get money back through ATOl. Uur insurance was through ASDA so trying to find the documents and read small print |

don't laugh. The wife has not been too well so we were looking for a cheap no thrills holiday, a bit of warmth away from the autumnal weather and bugger all stress. This fitted the bill. Well stress now back for me. 2 weeks booked off work. I am sure her indoors will find something to occupy my time |

Unlucky. Can you not find another cheap last minute trip anywhere?

Re: guess who wont be going on holiday this year
Just disappear on the bike until the holiday is up. You wont be under her feet and you'll probably feel quite liberated by the whole experience.
Of course she may want to divorce you on your return...... |
Re: guess who wont be going on holiday this year
Look at the up side to it, you are not sitting in a Spanish airport wondering when you are getting home. The Spanish airline Futura fell over on Sunday and now XL, all the charter capacity on the market is being used to move peolple home and to cover the shortfall for the tour companies who had booked folk on these airlines but were not part of the company. I know we've done about 30 extra flights since Sunday and have just been asked to fly on any of our days off that are not a legal requirment.
I hope it doesn't take a long time for you to get your money back. |
