Yes the gsxr K model shocks fit straight in but you need 2 either move the battery tray back or cut a bit out of the corner of it and lifted the battery up a we bit.

also if i where you i would just try and get hold of a proper sv shock its alot better than the gsxr ones tho sv second hand aftermarket shocks arnt the most popular things 2 get.

;)

Hens teeth mate, probably £200+ for a second hand one.

With the curvys you can fit ZX6R ones, as somebody said before ... you can pay 5x more for ohlins etc ... but it's not 5x better than a swap from another bike!

Probably throw Penske and Nitron into your search there, nice shocks. You can fit aftermarket shocks from other bikes but you'll probably end up having to rebuild it, and it kind of defeats the purpose of having a nice shock if it's valved all wrong, so there's a consideration for you too.

i'd be tempted by a nitron shock eventually - heard good things about them. Just need to go to yc's and sort my pads & lines out. You free this week yc? Got some nice money & beer for you :)

Wanna bet, I have ridden both back to back an the Ohlins is far superior.

So have I, obviously I preferred the Ohlins but the 636 shock did very well, I could live with it. For £40 instead of £250 (plus the likely need for a service or revalve) I think the numbers add up pretty well. I'd never say it's an argument against getting a proper shock, just that it's a good alternative.

Yeah, it is better than stock I will agree to that.

Add elka to the list too. However they really are rare!
