Would you?

OK its a cage post but on the way home from Skye I was overtaken by a WRX going like a rocket[ I was doing 60+ ] The A82 is very twisty and at this particular section several double bends one after the other. Coming round one corner the road is strewn with dirt and after the next corner there is the WRX nose in a ditch and back wheels 5 foot in the air. Three cars coming the other way had stopped.
Would you have stopped taking into consideration you are on double bends and three cars were already stopped at the scene
I must admit to a wry smile as the guy had flashed me earlier

AM I A BAD PERSON?

Reminds me of when my mum and dad used to say "he'll be wrapped round a tree around the next corner.." Justice is served if you ask me!!

I would have stopped to check that the guy (and any passengers) were okay in case they needed any assistance that maybe the others couldn't give. Once I saw that all was okay or at least the situation was under control and my assistance wasn't needed I would have ridden off with a wry smile too ... unless of course they were badly injured.

I can remember that happening once when I was a kid - a car overtook us and my parents said the same thing - sure enough a couple of miles later there was the car on it's roof in a field

If there were 3 others stopped DT then I would imagine they would have had it under control - I would have only stopped if no one else already had....

Re: Would you?

I would've stopped as I have first aid training and a fair bit of experience in dealing with various injuries and may be able to help, don't care if 100 people had stopped, if none of them had proper training then they may make things worse. Would probably laugh in my head when I first saw the car though!!

I would stop to check everything OK, then leave if they don't need any further help, there's no point being a spectator and getting in the way.

I had a head-on collision, years ago in an Austin Metro and nobody stopped to help. People just drove past staring while I had to kick my way out of the car because the doors were jammed due to the damage. :(

Re: Would you?

I'd have stopped to offer assistance if it was needed. I'd want to know if the scooby had taken anyone else out on the road (another car or even a bike could have been involved). Hopefully the numpty just wrote their own car off, but if other innocent persons had been involved, do you think your observation of their driving prior to the incident would be useful.......?

If just the scooby wrecked and minor or no injuries to anybody, i'd have p***ed myself and ridden off shaking me heed.:smt098
