Hein Gericke sizes
 

Does anyone know what the sizing is like for this gear... the biggest stock they have left in what i want is 46(uk) and what i really want to hear is that the sizing is on the big size!


But only if its true.

I'm now officially confused by HG sizes :D

I've just gone to the trouble of looking over my shoulder to read the label in the jacket that's hanging on my chair.

It reads:
48 D (germany?)
32 USA
30 UK
40 F (france?)

This is a HG jacket, but I can only assume they've used waist measurements from the matching legs (which I didn't buy) on the jackets. I've got about a 30" waist but despite my diminutive stature there's no way I've got a 30" chest.

That didn't help a whole lot did it?

I'm 6ft tall and 15 stone (large I guess?) and just bought a new 'Cruise' jacket and the uk sizing is listed as 44.

I think their sizing is weird. Very weird. I have leathers from them that are an 18, and textiles that are a 12. Odd indeed, they both fit.

I've just bought HG Oxan jacket and trousers. On the jacket is says:

56 D (Germany)
46 USA
46 UK
56 F (France)

Before I bought it, I was looking on their site and was very confused by the sizes which are the german ones and the sizes went up to 58 which worried me as I thought that was cm. It doesn't seem to be though, more like some strange number system like the UK women's clothing which makes zero sense to me. The UK and USA sizes there do make sense though, sounds almost right to be chest size in inches.

I'm 6' tall, 15 stone and a half ... and a bit.

The sizes on MiniMatt's jacket are more confusing though as the UK & USA sizes don't match, though they're close at 30 & 32. The D & F don't match either at 48 & 40.

What you have to do is go to a shop and try them on. When I did that, I asked about sizes and was told they're European sizes. He only mentioned the sizes on the website, i.e. the 56 for my jacket. Didn't notice the other sizes until this thread.

Well i got there and the chap was confident that the 56 would fit..... er NO.

So the 58 is on its way from another shop. Arriving friday. This better fit as i am off to Newquay saturday morning and need the jacket!!

58...... But 58 what?? 58 5/8 of an inch??...... Its all German to me!!

hg sizing is all very confusing all different items come up differently.
they are all in euro sizes. so ignore wat is the label on the jkt and pants and wat the way under it.
on jackets the sizes are (chest size)
38uk=48euro
40uk=50euro
42uk=52euro
44uk=54euro
46uk=56euro
48uk=58euro
50uk=60euro

pants are (waist size)
28uk=48euro
30uk=50euro
32uk=52euro
34uk=54euro
36uk=56euro
38uk=58euro
40uk=60euro

the pants to come up long in the leg but on selected items we do, do short and very long leg.

You think that's bad - my IXS leathers are Size 110! A quick look on their website shows them to be 44 chest/34waist, but with a longer leg!

Forget the sizes you need to try the stuff on. My local shop have been a great help. the sizing can be a bit erratic to say the least, its only done by trying Im sorry to say. They are good guys (& girls) they will let you change stuff if its wrong and unused.
