City & Guilds in Motorcycle repair and maintenance - anyone done one of these?

Been thinking of doing something like this for a while. YC showed me how to fit new pads today (piece of p!ss but didn't want to mess with them without guidance - thanks again!)...

just wondered if anyone on here has done anything like this? I like learning new skills all the time and it could open some new doors for me :) feedback appreciated. The bit about "overhauling a 2 stroke top end" sounds like a laugh - could end up buying a stroker! ooh the possibilities

Nah boll0cks. Buy some heap and I'll show thi how to sort it.

2 stroke top end... Remove barrel and piston ... throw barrel at shop saying rebore +0.25mm .. fit 0.25mm oversize piston +rings. Do not re-use old pin clips. job done. Do not rag engine for 100miles.

P.s more beer please.

I've thought about this a few times myself. Then YC came along, I've learnt more in his garage after bribes of cake and tea at my house...lol

I'm sure if you took up a 'baking class' the job would be a good un!

lol!

i suggested this to him yesterday - YC's online tutorials with hi res photos and maybe videos of the man himself slapping copper grease everywhere :) he wouldn't make any money though :( unless you paid a small fee for access to the tutorials? ;)

Advertising/Sponsorship is where its at for that kind of thing, charging for the content is just too much hassle

Halfords would be a good target
