Sv650!
went into the local Suzuki dealer yesterday and sat on a new model.
the handle bar is definite no no for me but the rest is beautiful. to far forward ,I can see back problems here with 2 up. they didn't have a naked one in so I couldn't see the difference. its a pity that I couldn't test ride one to see if it good enough for 2 up. combined weight is 24.9 stone . I couldn't believe how light it is and narrow compared to my Fazer 600. no doub't it'll be a good handling bike like they all say. it looking more likely ithat I'll getting one. hopefully new if job is ok. definite handle bar mod and I like the idea of a hawk h/bar mod. is there any one on here from the neath east...Stockton/borough way? |
Re: Sv650!
If you really want a SV650S you could always have a Comfort Kit, made by ABM, fitted....

Re: Sv650!
I noticed an SV1000 had clipons that curved upwards like straight touring bars, are these standard?

Re: Sv650!
No not standard on the SV1000, could be Helibars or something like that.

Re: Sv650!
You can get a 15% discount on the ABM kit from www.998cc.com , the code is UKBAD , courtesy of the Org :D . I have one fitted to my bike and it has made it for me . Don`t worry about 2 up as the SV can take it . HTH .

Re: Sv650!
do I really want one....its looking that way.my Fazer600 had it from new and its a bit on the heavy side when I'm maneuvering slowly and whilst turning etc with my good lady on the back it does get rather heavy and one of these days my leg will give way and I'll just go over.I'm not saying that I'm an old bugger at 57 there come a time when I will have to admit that the bike is getting alittle to heavy etc. my wife can't reach the floor so if the bike goes my wife might get hurt badly ...I can jump off but she can't.so this is what I've got to think of and the pointy SV is the nearest looking bike to my Fazer.hopefully after Xmas I'll buy a new one and get that h/bar mods.

Re: Sv650!
If you want to make an SV tram on a bit 2 up then it really needs something doing with the suspension. A set of springs for about 60 quid are enough to make it feel a different animal.
