Got some shocking news yesterday.
 

One of my best mates, his stepdad hung himself at the weekend. I got on really well with the bloke. He was calm laid back and fairly quiet then he has gone and done this. I cried last night when I found out, really has hit me hard. Such a quiet bloke and goes and does this.

I text my best mate, to ask him how he is and told him i'm here for him. He didn't reply to me. Understandable, but, should I go round and see him?

Oh no, not another suicide :(

I dunno, maybe you should try calling him before going round - he might need some time alone to settle down. If he's like me, he might be really really anrgy.

As others have said you`ve told him you`re there if he needs you so now you`re gonna have to wait for him to contact you. Try and imagine whats going on in that household...... the pain, the anger, the confusion, possibly the guilt. They need to come to terms with this as a family before they can talk to people outside of their family circle.

I would go round.
He can always tell you to go away.
He's lost his step dad & all you can do is send a text :roll: (just trying to put it how it might come across) (you don't even know for sure that he has read your text)
