SV650.org - SV650 & Gladius 650 Forum - Finally test day and I passed!

So finally after my little "accident" in training I managed to get myself sorted! :) My foot is almost ok now (apart from some bruising) and the bruises in my leg have almost gone too.

I was totally bricking it yesterday morning waiting to start the 125 day, wondering what on earth I was doing there! :confused: The instructor was great though - the same guy I had the day I had the accident - and he put in a lot of little extra bits for me to try and get my confidence back including making me do around 100 U-turns for which I am now greatful (although wasn't so much so at the time!!) :D I did have one *small* incident yesterday when I lost the rest of the group on a dual carrigeway and ended up travelling around 20 mins on my own :p Eventually the instructor and I found each other thanks to the modern technology of mobile phones! Now he's just enjoying taking the p!ss whenever he's getting the chance :p :D

So today was the test and I don't remember ever having such a bad sleep in my life! I must have been awake at least once every hour and every time I woke up I had this panic setting in lol! But the guy that took me out for a run before my test was great and I was actually quite relaxed by the time I got to the test centre! :) The examiner was in a car which was quite good because I spent half of the time pulling over to let him catch up lol! Thought I'd failed at one point though - I was stopped at traffic lights admiring some nice bikes in the left lane next to me, saw their light go green, spotted something green ahead of me so started to move off, then noticed it was just the filter lane, so I jammed on the brakes and swore a lot at myself! Only got a minor for it though and only 3 minors in the end :D Better than my 2 driving tests lol!

This afternoon I went out on my own bike for the first time and took it though to work to show my friends who didn't know anything about it :D Had a good ride too for most of the afternoon but I'm totally shattered now so hopefully I'll have an early night and sleep a lot better tonight!!! :smt015
