Ford Mondeo - changing headlight bulbs

2003 Ford Mondeo.

No Haynes manual.

Any ideas how to change the headlight bulbs? Seems a very tight area to work in.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

I used to have one

Front plastic trim has two small plastic clips turn these and then remove trim with the ford badge on it.

Each headlight is held by 2 metal rods that look like tent pegs. One is behind it and the other is closer to the middle. Pull these up and out wriggles the headlight.

The metal rods may need a screwdriver underneath them to get out.

Hope that helps but as its early it might not make sense !!!

Seems to be a trend with modern cars in making changing the headlamp bulbs as difficult as possible. Had a colleague who owned some sort of Renault and he was moaning that you virtually had to dismantle the entire front wing to do the job, not easy if you're on the side of a road in the pitch dark and pouring rain... My old Pug 206 was a nightmare, one side was worse than the other, really fiddly and guaranteed skinned knuckles....

Sorry, know absolutely nothing about Ford Mondeos.

Just my £0.02 worth.

Changing the headlamp bulbs on a 2003 Ford Modeo is very much like making love to a beautiful woman...

The megane! Its a nightmare and a £150 job for a dealer. You have to remove the front wheel then the underbody plastic doofie, then you have to fit your hand through a tiny gap to the back of the headlight! They done it a couple of weeks ago on Fifth Queer!

As for the mondeo, no idea. Never worked on the newrer models. Go to Halfords and pay them the £2.99 to fit it for you. Thier hassle then.
