Best helmet for £150?

What's the best helmet I can get for £150, I'm thinking safety wise - good hard shell, soft esd (or whatever it is) polystyrene bit to keep the old brain damage at bay, keep it's form (trouble I've had with most helmets, lining getting baggy and not fitting right) lightweight and then secondly looks then low sound.

I went into my local bmw dealer today and they're doing last seasons 'sport integral pro race' helmets (black and yellow :) ) for £170 reduced from £210. He said if I go in tomorrow and they have one in my size I can have it for £150. They're not the nicest looking helmets but I bet they're built well (bmw/shubert).
What do you guys think? Are there better helmets out there for £150? Could anyone recommend me some other lids in that price range incase they don't have my size?

Cheers

The one thats comfortable and fits you best.

Or you could look at the SHARP test for the apparently safest if you believe a goverment test even though they refuse to give out how the test is actually conducted.

A 5 star helmet can be had for £60 apparently.

I'm riding with a £50 gold acu one at the moment but I got it for trade price and after knowing how much that is it's quite worrying. worn it about 10 times and it's already pretty baggy which'll mean it might get to the point where it'll spin round and brake my neck in a crash.

tbh i think that gold sticker is worth about 3 quid! it means bugger all t the helmet and you can evn get them off ebay! Sooo i would go with firstly whatever fits best and secondly a branded name. Thirdly i would buy it from a shop and not online as at least you know where its come from and its not some knock off copy.

Yep I'll get what fits, bmw helmets are made by schubert and I get your point with the from a shop thing - helmets are one of the few items I wouldn't risk getting online - especially with how delivery drivers treat parcels.

You could probably get a Shoei Raid II for about that money. Just make sure that it fits properly.

i'm thinking about getting a shark helmet since theyre around that price and are really comfortable course thats only any use if they fit you currently got a nitro race helmet that's been surprisingly good.

I had an Urban before my little accident. Then I got a Shark, which is more comfortable I think, and also easier to get on and off (although it's not loose on me). I think they're really nice looking helmets and are around the price range you're looking at. Also I think they all score 4 in the Sharp test apart from a few of the top-of-the-range ones which score 5.

AGV S-4 is a comfortable helmet. Suitable for track days too I'm told.

Could probably haggle a shop to give you one for £150 or so. Mine was £170 but that was couple months ago!
