The reprieve we all had a feeling might come.

Think this is the right section (soz if not)

Well a lot of us had a feeling it would happen what with the DSA's general approach to organisation and yes I was supposed to have the last motorcycle test as we know it tomorrow before they bring in the expensive, concentration camp, overkill, impossible test. Well not any more with very little notice to the instructors they've set the date back 6 months (pressure's off for me then but I'm still not optimistic)

Just thought you guys might like to know - especially the under 21s as my instructors had a go on the new test and he says it would be impossible for a novice to pass on a 125. We have another 6 months guys!:smt026

Good luck for tomorrow! :smt026

I had my test yesterday and passed :D, although I was not in the slightest bit optimistic (especially for the U-turn) and was waking up every hour the night before in a panic thinking about it! I think part of what helped me get over the nerves was the pre-test run I got taken out on...if you get the chance for that then take it because it really helps!

I felt the pressure come off too when I heard about the horrible evil new test getting put back, so hopefully that'll help you relax tomorrow

This was made public a couple of weeks ago but with the ****-up that is the Multi-Purpose-Test-Centre initiative, it's been on the cards for a while. Talking to bike instructors at test centres recently, they have all be confident that the new test would be delayed.

Best of luck for tomorrow.

My instructor wasn't told until 2 days ago! He found out form another driving school.

Thanks everyone don't jinx it though! I shouldn't have mentioned lol
Oh well plenty of time for retakes.

they've covered this in todays MCN - don't usually buy it but it had the new aprili rsv4 on the front :)

apparently all those who've booked to take the new test paid 20 quid extra. The dsa have said they're not going to be refunding since the extra cash can be "put towards the rising cost of the existing test". Robbing ****ing *******s. They should hang the lot of 'em

Its really not that much harder......and beside a harder test is a bloody good thing judging some of the riding and crap skills I have witnessed recently.

Them taking money for the longer test then the person not doing the longer test is robbery though, and surely illegal.....I would get onto citizens advice or tradings standard.

Thats like saying its £20 extra to come to this organised meal because its 5 courses now.....then still only providing 3 courses.

Only if your a law abiding person with no previous conviction.......if you have previous conviction you would get a slap on the wrist and a free holiday.
