New oxford heated grips controller

So I got a new digital heated grips controller for my bike, after deciding I dont know enough about electronics to make my own.

Ruddy thing dosn't work, The controller itself dosn't come on at all, I push the on button and it dosn't work. I can't see that this would be a problem with the battery being under 12 volts, i dont think it would be?

Grrrrrr

I would like to have my heated grips working soooon

Will any other controller work, like from Motrax or something?

Matt

Have you put a fuse in the fuse holder?

I forgot to put a fuse in the holder when I fitted my horns and spent 20 mins trying to work out why they weren't working

yea, the fuse is in the fuse holder (i assume you are reffering to the lead going from the controller to the batter with the fuse sorta in the middle). Thats always been there, and its still working because otherwise my heated grips wouldnt have heated up when i connected them directly

Another silly question for you... have you tried pressing and holding the on button? Have to hold mine for about 4-5 secs for them to switch on

Yea, i thought maybe the bike might need warming up (charge recovery after the initial losses of starting), so tonight should be a good time to test because the bike will have been running for an hour, half of that at mid-high engine speeds

Cheers DD and breadman
