'03 sv high idle issues

Hi, thanks in advance for any help.

I have an '03 sv I am getting ready to race (first time road racer, but not to racing)

It was low-sided on the street, but didn't really do anything but dent up the can, rear sets, and clip-ons.

It has a full M4 system and a Power Commander. I got it this way.

So, everything is working out just fine except it idles high.
I have screwed out the idle adjust all the way.
No luck.

I have disconnected the start/idle/not a choke but does the same thing/ thing (on the advice of the local SV tech)

no luck, although before I did this the idle somewhat wavered, not it is dead on, but it still idles high.

The gauges were broken in the wreck also, so I can't say how high the idle is.
But this isn't my first twin, and certainly not my first bike, but it is my first SV. It seems to be above 2000rpm, and doesn't idle down really fast when the throttle is blipped.

i check for air leaks but haven't been able to find anything.

sorry for the long post, just wanted to get all the info out there.

cheers from across the pond-
I;ve heard this is the best sv site out there, tried a couple other but didn't get any help with tech stuff-

again, thanks!

check the throttle cables are running freely and not getting stuck open slightly

sorry forgot to mention, that it had brand new cables. the throttle has a little play in it also, so that's not it. Also, I stuck my finger through the frame to manually push down the mechanism that tuns the butterflys and it wouldn't go any further.
