Will JT hold it together? - Spoiler Warning

He should be used to this circuit from his WSB days.

I'm not so sure I agree. I think that was one of his strongest performances IMHO.

He was up in third place for a while and had a strong battle with Rossi with them both repassing and passing each other. He was in the thick of the battle for 4th for pretty much the rest of the race as well.

Looked to me that he was holding the rest of the field up by riding defensively, not knocking him in anyway shape or form but i think he's struggling to live with the big boys.

Edwards was nowhere by comparison. You can't ask more from JT than to do what he's doing in my opinion. He's in the frame. He made Edwards look bad, and Edwards is usually Mr. Consistent even if he's probably never going to win a GP.
If the tech3 is ever a race winning machine, I'm confident JT will be right up there with it, but realistically JT needs a better ride with a factory team to be a contender.

I would say that the JT ride was excellent.

He was really on the wotsit and passed Rossi...twice...not many can say that.

He was holding the show up but then that was his job. He was a real deal today and that was very impressive on less than perfect machinery.

He deserves a pat on the back today.

I thought that was a good ride by JT.Fourth to seventh was always going to be a lottery at the end,but he held his own against the others for the whole race.Like Haydon though perhaps he should have gone a grade harder on the tyres???

Entertaining race, JT proved his team were right to sign him for 2009. He's had a few gripes about the michelins so on bridgestones he should at least get a few podiums next year. If not 2009 will be his last MotoGP year.

I've not watched the race yet, just caught some of the highlights, couldn't believe it when I flicked it on and there's JT and Rossi battling it out, seemed to take ages before they said what position he was in too!
