Taller SV owners

:smt039I'm new to motorbikes and have been lusting over an SV650 sport for some time now. I've read every review I can about the bikes. All say it's a good first bike, good to learn on and good fun too etc, etc.

However some also say taller riders might find it uncomfortable. I'm six foot and about twelve and a half stone (on a good day);). What do you think? Some of you out there must be taller than me with an SV??

I'll try one for myself soon as I pass my test!

I am 6'1 and I do not have a problem with the SV's, I have two Curvies but I have ridden a few Pointy's with no problems at all.

You won't have any problems I shouldn't think, I'm 6'2 and 13 odd stone and don't have any problems. :)

6 '3 here

i did have a slight "back ache" problem at the start of the year when i started riding the bike more in the better weather but soon got back into it, now the only problem i get is numb ar5e, which is universal on most bikes so im to believe :)

6ft5in, wrong side of 18st (probably by some margin :-(). Wrists ankles and numb bum, but not more than any sporty bike. The S footpegs are an inch or so higher up, bars lower, but you're after a Sport anyway so you already know this. You won't have a problem. I bought one having been away from riding for ten years, perfect!

I am 6ft 2 and bought some rearset riser plates , flipped them upside down and dropped my pegs about an inch and a half , perfecto , all for £30 .

6'6" and fine. Just around 17 stone.

I'm also looking to get some rearset riser plates but to move the rearsets back so it pushes me over the tank more.

Actually your best bet id to go to a show room, and then sit on lots of bikes all day.
That will really put a smile on your face .... well untill you look at price tags.
