Breakdown Cover

Now I know I am temting fate here. So far the sv hasn't missed a beat, but I'd rather be covered if it did drop to pieces whilst out ;)

The question is to everybody, who in your experience provides the best cover ( not necessarily the cheapest probably) but the best value for money?

Thanks in advance :)

I guess it depends on your circumstances. I have a car as well, so I'm in the RAC, so the bike is covered too. However, I also have breakdown included with my insurance, Carole Nash, so I'd call them first.

Re: Breakdown Cover

cost me £25 to go on my mum's AA policy which includes everything they do and covers me in whatever vehicle i might be travelling at the time, not had to use them personally so can't comment on that but i expect they're like every breakdown co, with good and bad reports

worth it to know if you come off you can get the bike taken care of tbh

Be aware that if you are involved in an accident the AA will not recover the bike. Also if your car/bike is not on Tarmac they will not recover.

RAC will recover if you are involved in an accident. Im with RAC. :)

so they don't...

however the RAC website makes reference to "accident care" but nothing about recovering your vehicle after a crash, only a kind of support service, are you sure they recover the bike/car?

I got mine for free, UK breakdown is included in my insurance policy. I upgraded it for a small fee to European breakdown cover. I'm insured with ebike.

mine cost me £50 with Express but is decent and recovered me in 45 minutes home. The fault was fixed in 2 minutes too lol.

I am with RAC and can't praise them enough, after collecting the bike they came to the hospital and collected me. Admittedly I have personal cover which is for whatever I maybe driving or riding. Not cheap about £120 but you get a 10% reduction for every year you do not claim and I was on 50% but I am claiming back the difference for the next years through their legal dept

BRILLIANT SERVICE AND PROPER EQUIPMENT FOR RECOVERY

The RAC refused to attend my Dad when he came off his bike about 6 weeks ago, citing they do not cover in the event of an acident.
