HID Pro MAX - Worth it?

Hi All,
well I've been officially bitten by the modification bug after fitting a few bits and recently the new exhaust, HIDs would be my next mod of choice.
hids4u seems to be a well recommended place, they do two twin headlight kits:
35w standard kit £99
55w "Pro" kit, £199,
can get discounts with the usual codes though but prices are still proportional.

I figure I'm only going to do the upgrade once so if the pro kit would be worthwhile and have no side effects like melting the front of my bike then I'll go for that.
any thoughts please?

i have HIDS4U's twin 35W and there's absolutely no need to go for anything more in terms of light output, they're more than bright enough

Sorry just rechecked, the H4 kits are more expensive than the default pricing so 35w is £112 with discount and 55w is £149, making it much more appealing, but is it too powerful?

would imagine 35W would be so much better than std that no need for 55w. But not speaking from any exp.

Interested in a single kit for my new bike tho'

that's like being too ethical...

as before, the 35W kits are more than bright enough for riding at night, if you want to pay more for a more powerful kit it won't do any harm, but i wouldn't see the point, save your money and fit a stebel nautilus horn so you can blind and deafen the middle lane drivers...

lone wolf- you have two 35w kits so that's going to be a lot brighter than one. I have one 55w kit, and it's excellent (one 7" headlight). Though, whatever you do it's going to be so much better than halogens.. Just aim them a little low in case of unwanted attention ;)
Which discount code are you using? My H4 55w kit was 60 quid.

what discount you got? best I can find is 20%

hmm fair comments, I'm still tempted by the 55w, I agree most likely overkill but the price difference seems almost negligible. But then I'm a sucker, I'm always tempted by extra though hehe :)

Thanks for the advice guys, will bear it in mind as I ponder/justify it to myself hehe.

"Toyota pro" works best for the 55w version, not so much for the 35 I think

"STRATHY" used to be good for 40% off i think, but recently they cut it back, not sure how much by though, could well be 20% now

Sean - OP looks like he has a pointy and is ordering a "twin headlight kit" so same as mine - like you say 35W is going to be mega-bright when there's two of them:shock:
