Draggin Jeans

I already have a pair of Hood jeans, which are superb. Lost a bit of weight recently, so need something a size smaller, so rather than get another pair, I thought I might get a pair of cammo draggin jeans as a change..
Anyone got any? Wondering you can add knee armour, (can in Hood), if they are light enough to wear all afternoon, built well, wash well, feel like they would protect you etc etc.

live in ours. Sit around in them all summer on bikes. Really comfy on and off bike. They stand up to an off, as our friend found out at 60mph, and only the pocket tore. They last well, you can wash em in a machine at 40, and you can tumble dry them. ONly thing is they fade a little too well. You can't really add armour on ours( not sure if they have changed the design recently to do that)
As an alternative my other half bought some Halvarrsson 'fokker' pants. They seem a lot heavier, same price, just as comfy

Re: Draggin Jeans

Draggin recommend knox knee armour that velcro's in (any dealer will know which one it is, as it's the one we buy from Draggin UK rather than Planet Knox).

You can also have hip armour added (although it's a tad more complicated). The easiest way to is go to a dealer, find out your size, and get the dealer to order a pair with hip armour pockets. Draggin UK use a professional seamstress to add the pockets, and supply the hip armour too.

It's about another £20-25 for the knee and hip armour, plus the pockets being sown in (although you can just do that yourself).

The washing instructions say wash in cold water, but that is rubbish. They do just fine at 30 degrees in the washing machine...no higher though...or you will start to fade them fast. You can also use wash in waterproofer to showerproof them.

Thanks for all the replies. Looking at the armour, I can find the knox hip and knee products, but looking at commentary there is mixed reviews. Commonly reported is the knee armour is too stiff, and moves about a lot due to only held in by velcro.

Interestingly, I found a link to this:
http://www.forcefieldbodyarmour.co.uk/pro_pants.asp
Which is kinda armoured underwear :)

Dunno if it would fit under the jeans though

+1
Got mine with free knox knee armour and it makes you knees sweat! Didn't know they did that! So I wear mine without. I prefer to use full kit normally though only use jeans on some occasions.
Stood up well to an off, but then I did land on soft heather!
