see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7675314.stm some foreign type on an unspecified motorcycle owes Westminster council 45 grand for 400 tickets.

Is it anyone here?

Good. I'd do the same if I could get away with it. I don't know who the hell councillors think they are, robbing the people they're supposed to work for blind. And Westminster is one of the worst.

Ditto. I'd be a lot more sympathetic if they targetted people who parked inconsiderately and illegally rather than merely technically illegally, but hurting no one. Near me they tend to hang around the "residents only" bays near town which are empty during the day (unsurprisingly, most of the residents are at work) and it's ideal, considerate parking for collecting things from town. They should instead go to the main drag where people occassionally double park (causing far more problems), but simply because the latter is less frequent they don't bother.

hahaha oh reminded me of the good old days when I had my first car on Greek licence plates! they could take a picture of me but they didn't know where to send it LOL.

Also the info on there is not entirely correct!!! Vehicles from EU countries don't need to register with the DVLA EVER!!! Saying that though Police have been smart and now if you are cought they will take you to court no questions asked.

It's just a matter of time when all EU country databases are accessible for these things to take place.

I give it 6 months before the 'anti-terrorism' act is used to tow your vehicle away to before performing a controlled explosion on it... then sending you for a stay in HM hotels, and a £120k bill for the privilage.

The government doesn't abuse its powers, honest :?

After the first offence they should be able to take the vehicle away and crush it, video it and put it on youtube.

If the locals get ****** by this countrys laws then so should everyone.

Yes, fantastic idea. We're getting screwed over by an opressive government, so instead of doing something about it, lets become opressors ourselves and take it out on the few who wern't previously affected. That'll solve the problem.

Pleased you think its a fantastic idea I would of said good, but if you feel its fantastic then who am I to argue....or do I smell a hint of sarcasm

All I was saying really is if you are going to have a rule for the people then everyone should be covered. If you don’t like the rule change it, or even better change the moppets’ who make the rules and install people with common sense, engineers probably).
