If they are only slightly bent then you can get them bent back to shape. The straighteners tend to say if it has no crease it can be repaired, and yet I have non-creased ones repaired and start to fail.

ok cool what companies are recommended? i have no idea of where to start search and how much will repair cost?

dont think its a major bend but can tell slightly

you say they fail? so if they repair them the can still "fail"?

is it best to buy a new or unbent tube then

This place is highly recomended - http://www.motoliner.com/ but you have to pay postage costs both ways, or try ebay.

The problem with straightening your forks is that they will bend again. The place where the bend was remains weaker than the rest, and subsequently will bend there again. My forks were straightened before, and when I had the bike serviced the mechanic said they were bent again- just through normal road use.

hmmmmm make me unsure now,

its bent near the bottom yoke it look to be like a 1-2mm maybe more when i get them off, but i cant measure them properly though, i just cut down a rule and put it up against the tube and there was a gap there and using my sight lol

ill have to see when i get them off

if the fork leg is only very slightly bent its unlikely the yolk is bent too, the leg will go first.

i jsut got mine straightend. motoliner charged me 40 quid as i took them there and picked up, he said mine were right on the limit and tels you to put the fork bk in the opposite direction to the bend. he also marks them for you so its not hard.
