Advice on new bike
Hi guys and girls,
Passed my test on wednesday :p and have been busy looking for an SV. Seen this one n autotrader. Can you have a look at the link below and give me your thoughs on the bike and the price? I think the bike has been with the dealer since the end of August so might be able to get a few quid off or an extra or two thrown in. What do you think? Can you see any problems with it? :smt100 cheers Bunks http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk...r=&max_mileage= |
Re: Advice on new bike
Personally I think you'd be mental to pay that much for a 1st bike.

Re: Advice on new bike
looks good too me but like yorkie says it's alot of money to pay out for a first bike that you may drop accidently(it happens to lot's of people) but if it's what you want then who's to tell you otherwise.

Ignore YC. He's a notorious tightwad and prophet of doom.:p
It's got a lot of stuff you'd put on the bike anyway. But the can may affect your insurance, and the mesh finish on it is a bit odd. Make sure they've got the original can and pillion seat. Still needs a hugger and possibly a tail tidy. Got crash bungs which are a bonus. Do you like the colour? |
Re: Advice on new bike
If I were you, I'd ignore that and buy this

Re: Advice on new bike
absolute bargain, my old yellow 2004 is on for 2995 in a dealer. buy that one, pm the seller, get his number, ask loads of questions then train it up and ride it back :-)

Re: Advice on new bike
You could get the same bike cheaper privately, but then lose the advantages of using a dealer.
Can get a brand new one for about £600 more. If you've got the money then spend it, first bike or not. Loads get SVs are first bikes brand new. |
